Meet Mia & start your Yoga journey at Sunbeam Yoga.
My introduction to yoga came whilst I was living a very hectic and stressful life, professionally. Having enjoyed the physical benefits attending local yoga classes offered, I completed by Ashtanga yoga teacher training course with Brian Cooper PHD, supervised by Helen McCabe and Scott Parsons. It was during this time that I really started to be aware of the positive mental benefits of a regular Ashtanga yoga practice.
In 2013, I started Sunbeam Yoga. I teach a led, half primary series Ashtanga yoga class, which we always close with a relaxing body scan (savasana) and the soothing tones of my Tibetan sound bowls. My students are from all age groups and abilities. I love being a Yoga teacher and seeing my yogis progress and benefit from their practice.

I wanted to get back in to doing some yoga again after a long break from it, (after having my son)… I came to my first session with Mia last Friday and absolutely LOVED IT! Felt perfectly stretched, in a relaxed, and calm setting. The space is perfectly tranquil overlooking nature. Excited to be back practicing and to have found Sunbeam Yoga!!!

Book your homeopathy session with me
Homeopathy treats the whole self and looks to unearth the cause of your ailment, as opposed to just treating the symptom. Homeopathy treats emotional and not just physical issues, your consultation will include:
- A thorough look into your lifestyle.
- Your eating habits and preferences.
- Temperament and personality.
- Your sleep patterns.
- Your medical history.
All these questions will help me form a complete picture of you. This picture will then be matched to the symptoms of your illness in order to prescribe a particular type and strength of homeopathic medicine.
As a guide, your first appointment could take up to an hour and a half with follow-up appointments typically lasting 30-45 minutes.
Please contact me to discuss any questions you may have and to book your homeopathy consultation.
Questions you might have
What is your experience with Homeopathy?
Homeopathy has been a natural progression in my own personal search for a more natural and holistic approach to my mental, physical and emotional health. I started to look at alternative and natural health much more deeply after the birth of my son. I suffered repeated bouts of tonsilitis for which I was prescribed various antibiotics. I felt there must be an underlying cause to my illness, for which the antibiotics were having little long-term effect, and possibly negative effects to the rest of my health. Finding a holistic approach to my health issues through homeopathy has improved all aspects of my wellbeing. This spurred me on to train as a homeopath and help others through this natural and alternative medicine.
How can Homeopathy help me?
The benefits of homeopathy are numerous. Apart from its ability to resolve many illnesses, both minor and serious, homeopathy can re-balance your underlying state of health. This means many patients describe a feeling of greater emotional and mental clarity after treatment. Due to homeopathy’s very nature there are no side effects. Homeopathic treatments also include the ability to antidote some of the side effects of conventional medicine; they can be taken together.
What is a Homeopathy session like?
Homeopathy is based on ‘like cures like.’ Homeopathic remedies trigger your body’s ability to heal itself. Homeopaths give a remedy which is a highly diluted version of a product (or ‘toxin’) that in healthy people would cause a set of symptoms which are the same as the symptoms being treated in the patient. When your body reacts against the remedy it reacts against the symptoms too, and starts to heal itself. Homeopathy treats the cause of the ailment, unlike traditional medicine which often treats the symptoms only.
Where do I get my remedies?
I will provide you with your remedies and explain exactly how and when to take them
Where are you based?
I am based near Poole, Dorset, but if you are unable to travel, I am able to do consultations via phone or FaceTime/skype etc
What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a holistic form of medicine that treats the whole of you; your mind and body. As a homeopath, I see your body and mind as one. Homeopathic medicine was developed over 200 years ago by a respected German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann. Hahnemann believed ‘like cured like’. Homeopathic doctors treat their patients using this philiosophy of treating the dis-ease with the very same element that would cause the symptom in larger doses, and other methods.
